SKYLINERS 3
George W Hamlin & Mel Lawrence
A glorious journey of airline nostalgia to the Orient in the time warp of the Fifties and Sixties. This incredible all-color collection of airliners and airlines takes you on a trip through some of the most exciting airports of Asia, including Hong Kong (pre-skyscraper days!), Tokyo’s Haneda (Narita was not yet dreamed of), Bangkok, Singapore, and Manila.
Mel Lawrence’s cameras captured all the glory of the props, the turboprops, and the early jets at work, photographed from different observation points and angles in exotic locations.
Besides most of the aircraft types used by the major and lessor-known Asian airlines of the period, there is plenty of space devoted to US, Canadian, European, Latin American, and Australian operators which then visited Asia.
