Pegasus Airlines Launches Bratislava flights

DALLAS – Turkish low-cost carrier (LCC) Pegasus Airlines (PC) has launched a new route between Istanbul (SAW) and Bratislava (BTS).

The LCC will operate twice weekly flights between Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) and BTS. Flights will be operated on Wednesdays and Sundays year-round.

“At Bratislava Airport, we welcome a new scheduled air carrier today, which will operate its direct flights to Istanbul not only in the summer but also in the winter season,” said Dušan Novota, Chairman of the Board and General Director of Bratislava’s M. R. Štefánik Airport.

100th International Destination

The launch of this route serves as a milestone for the Turkish budget carrier, marking its 100th international destination. PC is proud to connect the Slovakian capital with its hub in SAW, stating that it offers a unique travel experience to passengers.

Following the launch of this flight, BTS offers expanded travel options to IST and beyond. This direct flight service also offers convenient connections to PC’s route network destinations, including Cappadocia (NAV), Kuwait (KWI), and Georgia (TBS).

“We are delighted to be launching a scheduled service connecting Bratislava and Slovakia with the Turkish metropolis of Istanbul, marking our 100th international route, with flights operating twice a week between Bratislava Airport and our hub, Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport,” said Emre Pekesen, Sales and Network Planning Group Director of Pegasus Airlines.

Additional New Seasonal Route for Pegasus

Furthermore, PC’s seasonal route from Antalya (AYT) to BTS is joining this new year-round service to Istanbul. As a result, passenger numbers are expected to increase between Bratislava and Turkey this year.

The budget airline offers direct services between the coastal city of Antalya (AYT) and BTS for the summer. This new seasonal service commenced on May 18.

Pegasus Airlines operates a route network comprising 138 destinations. It offers flights to 35 destinations inside Turkey and 103 international destinations, as reported by Travel and Tour World.
