AeroUnion Unveils New Identity: Avianca Cargo Mexico

MEXICO CITY — Today, AeroUnion announced the introduction of its new brand, Avianca Cargo Mexico.

Under the new brand, the freight company aims to “strengthen the global air freight business” from Mexico and the U.S. West Coast by offering consolidated service and “a renewed fleet.” Avianca Cargo Mexico preserves its capital structure, operating permits, corporate governance, and technical, labor, administrative, and financial resources.

Avianca Cargo's (AV) second Airbus A330 P2F aircraft, which landed in Mexico on June 20, 2025, coincides with the introduction of the new brand. This freighter, with a capacity exceeding 60 tons, will enable the transportation of temperature-controlled perishables, pharmaceuticals, and large cargo, crucial for clients in the area. Additionally,  the company says it will increase capacity “to serve key sectors such as technology, automotive, medical devices, and personal care.

By connecting nations like Brazil, Chile, Argentina, and other locations in Asia and Europe, its arrival will strengthen global connectivity and establish Mexico as a strategic hub for markets like the US and Colombia. It will also expand the network offer with commercial partners.
