DALLAS — Saudi Arabia’s low-cost airline Flynas (XY) has officially entered the Italian market with the launch of direct flights between Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport (RUH) and Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP).
The inaugural flight touched down at Malpensa on June 26, 2025, marking the airline’s first scheduled service to Italy and a new addition to its steadily growing European network.

Flight Schedule
Flynas plans to run the route three times a week, with flights scheduled on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The airline will use its 174-seat Airbus A320neo for the service, offering a comfortable and fuel-efficient option for travelers heading between Riyadh and Milan.
Until now, the route has been served only by Saudi Airlines (SV) and Wizz Air (W6), providing travelers with limited options. With XY joining the mix, passengers now have a more flexible and affordable way to fly between Saudi Arabia and Italy, especially for those seeking budget-friendly options without compromising on comfort.

Looking Ahead
The new route marks a strategic addition to XY’s expanding European network. It is intended to support increased connectivity between Saudi Arabia and Italy, with potential benefits for tourism, business travel, and trade.
Specifically, XY’s new route between Riyadh and Milan represents a notable expansion of its scheduled services into the European market. For passengers, it introduces an additional travel option that is both direct and cost-effective, adding flexibility on a route that was previously limited in choice.
From an operational standpoint, the launch aligns with XY’s broader strategy to expand its international footprint and capitalize on growing passenger demand between the Gulf region and Europe.
