Strengthening Cargo Connections in Rapidly Growing Markets
In addition to passenger operations, the new route considerably enhances EK SkyCargo's presence in East Asia. Taking advantage of Hangzhou's status as a top logistics and e-commerce hub, the airline's cargo operations will facilitate the rapid, efficient transportation of electronics, pharmaceuticals, perishables, and e-commerce items.
The route will be instrumental in connecting Chinese industry with major international markets in Africa, Latin America, and the GCC, shortening transit times and enhancing logistics efficiency for time-sensitive cargo.
Strengthening Bilateral Relations and Regional Integration
With the launch of this new route, Emirates will operate 49 weekly services to the Chinese mainland, including twice-daily services to Beijing and Shanghai and daily services to Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
This expansion is a testament to the UAE's growing bilateral relations with China and the Emirates' emphasis on stimulating connectivity, as per the Belt and Road Initiative.
Strategically located at the intersection of East and West, EK is optimally placed to link high-growth markets through Dubai, facilitating new commercial, cultural, and technological exchanges between East and West.
