PARIS — On the second day of the Paris Air Show, Emirates (EK) showcased its brand-new Airbus A350-900 at the Airbus chalet.
Together with EK’s most recent addition, Airbus’ commercial exhibition included JetBlue’s (B6) A220-300 and, parked in the distance, an A321XLR featuring Riyadh Air’s latest livery.
Emirates took delivery of its first A350-900 in 2024 and launched the aircraft on the Dubai (DXB) to Edinburgh (EDI) in January 2025. EK first received the medium-haul version of Airbus’ flagship, equipped with 312 seats in a three-class layout.
Welcome Aboard
A6-EXH is the last aircraft to join EK’s fleet and is yet to fly commercially. The aircraft landed on Sunday ahead of the Paris Airshow and will continue its journey to Dubai (DXB) at the end of June. We boarded from door 1L, and after being greeted by the cabin crew. The front section of the aircraft is entirely dedicated to the business class, with 32 Safran seats. Each seat converts to a 78.6” long lie-flat bed.
The cabin is arranged in a staggered 1-2-1 layout, with the seats closer to the windows guaranteeing higher privacy than the ones on the aisle. The large IFE screen is a 4K 23” panel. The Mercedes-Benz interiors inspire the seat for a luxury experience on board. At the end of the cabin, Emirates has installed a walk-up bar with snacks and drinks for business travellers.

In premium economy, EK has installed 21 Recaro PL3530 seats in a 2-3-2 layout. The cabin is tastefully finished and guarantees a pitch of 40” and a generous recline of 8”. Passengers can take advantage of the endless in-flight entertainment offered through the 13.3” 4K UHD display.
In economy class, 259 seats are arranged in a 3-3-3 configuration with 32” of pitch. Similarly to premium economy, individual USB-A and USB-C chargers are available. The colour palette is light and sophisticated, for what might be one of the best economy class complex products in the world.
Our tour was concluded by a welcome gift: a model of the aircraft we just visited, a branded hat, and a “remove before flight keychain.
