Air Tahiti Opts for ATR HighLine Business Class Cabin

PARIS — The third day of the Paris Air Show 2025 began with a press conference and the Turboprop Market Forecast from ATR. The manufacturer introduced a brand-new ATR 72-600, belonging to Azul Brazilian Airlines (AD), and ATR’s brand-new All-Business Class Cabin, ATR HighLine.

During the Farnborough Air Show 2024, Air Tahiti (VT) placed an order for four ATR 72-600 aircraft, scheduled for delivery between 2025 and 2028. Air Tahiti has selected one of the ATRs from this order to be an all-business-class aircraft for VIP service with the ATR HighLine product, making them the launch customer of the product.

VT plans to introduce this unique VIP service in the second half of 2026, which will connect some of the iconic destinations such as the island of Bora Bora and Raiatea.

The new high-end cabin interiors offer passengers the utmost comfort, featuring 26 individual business class seats arranged in a 1-by-1 configuration. The ‘ETEREA’ business seat delivers great passenger comfort with a seat width of 21.6 inches, extended legroom of 39 inches and recline of 7 inches, together with personal side console, dedicated stowage, USB A+C ports, direct aisle access and window views.

Comments from Air Tahiti, ATR

Edouard Wong Fat, the CEO of Air Tahiti, expressed optimism on the future of air travel within French Polynesia. He believes that passengers will be able to travel in business class not just to the French Polynesian islands, but also domestically within the region. Building on the success of their recently introduced Premium Economy offering, he believes the ATR HighLine cabin will be a valuable and timely addition.

“Air Tahiti’s new premium offering is more than an upgrade; it embodies the airline’s dedication to making sure that, while serving some of the most breathtaking islands in the world, the experience begins the moment their passengers step on board. The growing interest in the ‘ATR HighLine’ carbon collection underscores a rising demand among commercial, business, corporate, and governmental operators for superior comfort, unmatched airfield accessibility, and low-emission solutions,” said Alexis Vidal, SVP Commercial of ATR.
