Air Transat to Fly to Rio De Janeiro from Montreal, Toronto

‍MONTREAL — Air Transat (TS) has announced the launch of nonstop flights to Rio De Janeiro (GIG) from Montreal (YUL) and Toronto (YYZ) for the winter season 2025-2026.

Flights from Montreal will be operated on Thursdays, from Toronto on Wednesdays and Saturdays on the airline’s Airbus A330.

Air Transat will fly 14 new routes from Canadian Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City, Charlottetown, Fredericton, and Windsor:

• Toronto (YYZ) – Rio de Janeiro (GIG), two weekly flights, starting February 4, 2026
• Toronto (YYZ) – Istanbul (IST), two weekly flights, starting December 6, 2025
• Toronto (YYZ) – Georgetown (GEO), weekly flights, starting December 16, 2025
• Toronto (YYZ) – Medellín (MDE) via Cartagena (CTG), two weekly flights, starting November 1, 2025
• Montreal (YUL) – Rio de Janeiro (GIG), one weekly flight, starting February 5, 2026
• Montreal (YUL) – Guadalajara (GDL), two weekly flights, starting December 13, 2025
• Montreal (YUL) – Bordeaux (BOD), one weekly flight, starting February 21, 2026
• Montreal (YUL) – Madrid (MAD), two weekly flights, starting February 18, 2026
• Montreal (YUL) – Valencia (VLC), one weekly flight, starting February 21, 2026
• Quebec City (YQB) – Fort-de-France (FDF), one weekly flight, starting December 14, 2025
• Quebec City (YQB) – Pointe-à-Pitre (PTP), one weekly flight, starting February 18, 2026
• Charlottetown (YYG) – Cancún (CUN), one weekly flight, starting February 18, 2026

• Toronto (YYZ) – Cartagena (CTG), two weekly flights
• Toronto (YYZ) – Puerto Plata (POP), five weekly flights
• Toronto (YYZ) – Saint Martin (SXM), two weekly flights
• Toronto (YYZ) – Rio Hato (RIH), three weekly flights
• Quebec City (YQB) – Cancún (CUN), seven weekly flights
