FORT WORTH — On Friday, August 29, American Airlines (AA) welcomed its 1000th aircraft, Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner featuring the airline’s new Flagship Suite, at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).
American Airlines has received eight premium 787s from April 2025, with 22 more to be delivered. Currently, Dreamliners operate on routes from Chicago (ORD) to London (LHR) and Los Angeles (LAX), and from Philadelphia (PHL) to London (LHR)

Elevated Premium Experience for LHR passengers
As AA is approaching its 100th birthday, the airline is dedicated to further enhancing the comfort of passengers with the brand-new Flagship Suite (51 seats).
Premium Dreamliners will continue to fly from Chicago and Philadelphia to London Heathrow, offering passengers an enjoyable travel experience in a new premium cabin. Starting from November, the Boeing 787-9, with a capacity for 244 passengers, will be deployed on route DFW-LHR.

Passengers can relax with duvets, slippers, dual-sided pillows with cool-touch fabric and amenity kits featuring premium skin and beauty products.
The onboard experience includes a multicourse, chef-inspired meal with a rich selection of award-winning wines, as well as delectable snacks.
In the coming months, brand-new 787s will debut on routes from DFW to Auckland (AKL), Brisbane (BNE), and Buenos Aires (EZE), as well as from PHL to Zurich (ZRH).
