DALLAS — Austrian Airlines (OS) is gearing up for the 2024/2025 winter season with exciting new additions and adjustments to its route network. OS aims to offer a diverse range of destinations for its passengers, and this winter schedule reflects that commitment.

A major highlight is the addition of Ivalo (IVL) in the Finnish Lapland to the winter schedule. OS will operate flights to IVL every Saturday from January to March, making it easy to experience this winter wonderland.

Additionally, the new summer destinations of Boston (BOS), Bremen (BRE), and Tbilisi (TBS) will continue throughout the winter season. OS is also increasing flight frequencies on popular long-haul routes.

Thanks to the addition of two new Boeing 787 aircraft, passengers can look forward to up to 13 weekly flights to Bangkok (BKK), a significant increase from the current seven weekly flights.

Frequencies to New York (JFK), Montreal (YUL), and the Maldives (MLE) will also jump to five flights per week, offering greater flexibility for travelers. The new BOS connection will be maintained with up to three weekly flights.

Executive Comments

Austrian Airlines’ CCO Michael Trestl stated that the carrier aims to continuously expand its route network to offer a broad portfolio of destinations.

“On long-haul routes, it was important for us to initially serve Boston in the winter and to offer more flights to destinations popular among our guests. This approach aims to return to pre-crisis levels in intercontinental services and provide attractive connections worldwide”, said Michael Trestl, CCO of Austrian Airlines, in conclusion.
