LONDON — British Airways (BA) has revealed new seats and interiors for all four cabins on its Airbus A380s, with 106 Club Suite business-class seats occupying the entire upper deck. The airline expects the first refurbished aircraft to enter service in the coming months.
The October 5 announcement extends the redesign beyond the First suite unveiled in November 2024. It also sets out separate dates for new bedding, amenity kits and First dining, some of which passengers can experience before the refurbished A380 begins flying.
The refurbished aircraft will have 12 seats in First, 106 in Club World, 84 in World Traveller Plus premium economy and 215 in World Traveller economy. Together, those cabins total 417 seats.
That is 52 fewer seats, or about 11%, than the 469-seat configuration British Airways currently lists for its A380-800. The new layout puts 202 seats in First, business and premium economy, almost half the aircraft's capacity.
With Club World taking the full upper deck, the other three cabins will share the lower deck. BA says the refurbishment involves installing more than 35,000 individual parts per aircraft, including redesigned galleys and stairways.
The updated Club Suite adds storage and revised finishes in blue, red and cream. BA will divide the upper deck into four cabin zones, with areas to spend time away from the seat and Club Kitchens.
First passengers traveling in the center seats will be able to open the divider to create a shared space and dine together using stowable tables. The new suite also incorporates a minibar for snacks and still and sparkling water.

World Traveller Plus seats will have privacy wings and larger entertainment screens. Economy will also receive larger screens, alongside seats BA describes as wider. The release does not specify dimensions for either cabin's screens or the new economy seats.

The British flag carrier says its revised First dining service is available from October 1 across the long-haul fleet's First cabins. A new “From the Grill” menu lets passengers choose proteins, sides and sauces, supported by updated training for First cabin crew.
New First sleepwear and bedding are available initially on outbound long-haul flights from London Heathrow (LHR), from October 1. A Swaine amenity kit containing Wildsmith skincare products follows on those services from October 6. BA plans to introduce the First amenities on inbound flights over the coming months.
During November, the airline plans a phased introduction of new World Traveller bedding and World Traveller Plus bedding and amenity kits across its long-haul aircraft. The premium economy kit takes the form of a reusable tote bag containing travel essentials and a Dr.PAWPAW balm.
Those changes have a broader aircraft scope than the A380 seat refurbishment. The October 5 release gives no exact first-flight date, initial route or completion timetable for the A380 program.
