Cathay Pacific to Increase Seattle Flights to Five Weekly

HONG KONG — Cathay Pacific (CX) is further expanding its North American network with five nonstop weekly flights to Seattle, starting from March 30, 2026.

The route will be operated by Airbus A350-900 featuring fully flat beds in Business Class, spacious seats in Premium Economy Class, and comfortable Economy cabins.

“We are excited to resume direct passenger flights to Seattle, reinforcing our goal to deepen business and cultural ties between Hong Kong and a dynamic tech hub in the United States. This route not only provides greater convenience for our customers, but also supports the growing demand for connectivity between Asia and North America, particularly among travellers from the Chinese Mainland and India,”  said Cathay Chief Customer and Commercial Officer Lavinia Lau.

“Customers can immerse themselves in Seattle’s thriving tech scene, lush greenery and rich cultural offerings, while those travelling to Hong Kong and through our home hub can connect to more than 100 destinations around the world through the Cathay Group’s network,” added Lavinia Lau.

Flight will be operated on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturday as follows:

30 March – 31 May 2026; 16 September – 24 October 2026

North American Summer Schedule 2026

New direct connection to Seattle will complement several other destinations in North America, including more than 110 return flights per week to Boston, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, and Vancouver.

Flight frequency to Dallas-Fort Worth will increase from four to seven weekly flights starting 26 October 2025, further strengthening Cathay Pacific’s presence in North America.

Enhanced Passenger Comfort 

Cathay’s award-winning Aria Suite Business Class, brand new Premium Economy Class, and updated Economy Class are available on selected flights to Vancouver.

In 2026, Cathay Pacific is opening its first-ever dedicated 10,000-square-foot lounge in New York JFK’s state-of-the-art Terminal 6.

Passengers can enjoy a fine selection of dining options from in-flight menus developed in collaboration with Michelin-starred Hong Kong restaurants, available in every travel class on long-haul flights from Hong Kong.

New Opportunities for Cargo Customers 

New Seattle flights also provide more options for CX’s cargo customers with nearly 40 return freighter flights per week that Cathay Cargo operates to several destinations in North America during the 2026 summer season.
