Delta Air Lines CRJ900 Crashes at Toronto Pearson

DALLAS — A Delta Air Lines (DL) CRJ900LR has suffered a crash landing at Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) today, February 17, 2025. 

The aircraft, operating as DL Flight 4819 from Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (MSP), came to rest upside down after the touchdown point at Bravo intersection on runway 23. 

Emergency crews, including airport fire and rescue teams, have responded and are on the scene assisting the overturned aircraft. After our team cross-checked the footage with satellite images, the burning debris seems to be around H3.

The aircraft involved in the accident is N932XJ, a 16.6-year-old Bombardier CRJ-900LR belonging to Endeavour Air (9E), which operates for Delta Connection.

At this time, there is no official confirmation regarding possible injuries or casualties. We are corroborating initial reports from YYZ stating that all passengers and crew have been accounted for. According to the latest report from ctvnews.ca, 15 people are injured.

Authorities, including Peel Regional Police, are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash, so further details should surface as the situation develops.

Meanwhile, the Atlanta-based airline issued the following statement, "Delta is aware of reports of Endeavor Flight 4819 operating from Minneapolis/St. Paul to Toronto-Pearson International Airport as involved in an incident. We are working to confirm any details and will share the most current information on news.delta.com as soon as it becomes available."

The Transport Safety Board of Canada (TBS) tweeted at 4:29 PM EST that it was "deploying a team to investigate an aircraft accident" at YYZ to "gather information and assess the occurrence."
