Emirates to Launch Daily Helsinki-Dubai Flight in the Fall

DUBAI — Emirates (EK) will commence a daily, year-round service between Dubai and Helsinki on October 1, 2026.

This is the airline’s first nonstop service to Finland and EK’s expansion into the Nordic countries. Helsinki will be among the first Nordic destinations where EK operates the Airbus A350.

New Nordic Connectivity

This will operate as EK167 from Dubai and back as EK168. The flight times were planned to facilitate connections to the wider network for passengers from Helsinki to the network’s destinations in East and Southeast Asia, Australia, Africa, the Middle East, and the Indian Ocean through Dubai.

EK stated that there is already demand from Finland to the UAE via indirect routings via other Nordic hubs, so this new direct service is expected to generate additional traffic.

Tourism Impact

The Finnish tourism industry remains an attractive destination for international markets, thanks to its scalability and growing appeal to long-haul routes.

In addition to passenger traffic, the route is expected to facilitate trade missions between the two countries, with Emirates SkyCargo planning to carry high-value, time-critical cargo via belly-hold services.

A350 Deployment

The aircraft operating this route will be an A350 with Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy Class seating. These aircraft would feature the latest onboard products from the outset, including new cabin interiors and in-flight entertainment systems.

Booking for flights on the Dubai-Helsinki route has been rolled out to the public by EK.
