First Dreamliner With Lufthansa Allegris Lands in Frankfurt

FRANKFURT — Lufthansa (LH) welcomed the first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner fitted with the award-winning Allegris cabin.

Brand-new Dreamliner registered as D-ABPF landed at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) from Seattle in the morning of August 30, 2025, and is set to debut on a route Frankfurt - Toronto in October this year.

Allegris' Cabin Now Available in Frankfurt

D-ABPF is not only the first Dreamliner with Allegris, but also the very first Allegris-equipped aircraft to be based in Frankfurt, marking the debut of Lufthansa's new cabin on long-haul routes from FRA.

"I am particularly pleased that we can now offer our guests the premium Allegris experience in Frankfurt. With the arrival of the Boeing 787-9 today, the modernization of our long-haul fleet at our largest hub is now also receiving a major boost. This will enable us to use significantly quieter and fuel-efficient aircraft types featuring the latest technology for our guests in Frankfurt as well," said Jens Ritter, CEO of Lufthansa Airlines.

Enhanced Passenger Experience

Allegris' cabin has been in use on long-haul routes from Munich since summer 2024, with over half a million passengers enjoying a new experience since the debut of the new cabin.

Guests in Business Class can enjoy their own suite, featuring even more comfort and privacy, with chest-high walls, a 27-inch monitor, and ample storage space. Furthermore, passengers get access to their own wardrobes and minibar.

As soon as certification for the Allegris Business Class cabin for Dreamliner is completed, seats will be available for booking.

Lufthansa expects to have 78 long-haul aircraft with Allegris cabin in the next few years, marking the most extensive fleet modernization in the airline’s history.

Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner consumes 2.5 liters of fuel per passenger and per 100 kilometers, which is approximately 25% less than its predecessor.

Lufthansa has ordered 29 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. Nine more Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners are expected to be delivered to Frankfurt by the end of this year, equivalent to the delivery rate of one aircraft every two weeks.
