TORONTO — Porter Airlines (PD) is launching round-trip service today between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Nassau, The Bahamas, Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS).
The Canadian carrier says this route is one of several first flights to southern holiday destinations, such as Mexico, Costa Rica, and the Cayman Islands. Starting on December 12, seasonal service to Nassau expands to everyday flights. By starting nonstop service from Ottawa on December 13 and Montreal on February 5, more Canadians will be able to experience the rich culture of the Bahamas.
Not a surprise here, PD will operate these flights on its Embraer E195-E2 fleet. The 132-seat aircraft has a two-by-two seating format, with no middle seat for any passenger. Onboard, everyone has access to free and fast wifi. Porter's industry-leading upgraded economy experience has included complimentary premium Canadian food as well as free beer and wine served in glassware since 2006.
The all-inclusive PorterReserve pricing provides ticketing flexibility as well as an expedited airport experience, including dedicated check-in and priority boarding. Two free checked bags are offered, as well as extra legroom seats in the front of the cabin. Passengers can eat healthy, freshly prepared meals and drink excellent pre-mixed beverages. These benefits are also available à la carte when ordering PorterClassic fares.
