TORONTO — Porter Airlines (PD) has announced its first flights to destinations in Mexico, the Caribbean, and Costa Rica for the winter season.
Travelers will be able to choose from five destinations and 13 routes originating from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), Ottawa International Airport (YOW), and John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport (YHM).
The line-up of destinations includes Cancun, Mexico (CUN), Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (PVR), Nassau, The Bahamas (NAS), Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands (GCM), and Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR).
Porter will be the only airline offering service from YOW to Grand Cayman and Liberia, as well as from YHM to Puerto Vallarta and Nassau.
Initial Winter Schedule
Beginning November 5, 2025, Porter will offer seven peak weekly departures from YYZ to Cancún. Additional service from YOW will start on December 17, 2025, featuring three weekly flights, and from YHM, also on the same day, with four weekly flights.
Service to Puerto Vallarta will commence on November 14, 2025, with three weekly departures from YYZ. YOW flights to Puerto Vallarta will begin on December 13, 2025, with two weekly flights, followed by service from YHM starting December 18, 2025, also with two weekly departures.
Flights to Nassau will start on November 26, 2025, from YYZ with seven weekly departures. Service from YOW will be added on December 13, 2025, with one weekly flight, and YHM will have two weekly flights starting December 14, 2025.
Porter will also launch service to Grand Cayman, with flights from YYZ starting on December 16, 2025, operating three times a week, and from YOW beginning on December 19, 2025, with one weekly flight.
Additionally, service to Liberia, Costa Rica, will commence from YYZ on December 4, 2025, with three weekly flights. YOW flights will begin on December 17, 2025, with two weekly departures. Flights to Costa Rica and Grand Cayman are subject to government approval.
