JEDDAH — Saudia Cargo has entered into a wet lease arrangement with ASL Aviation Holdings to add two Airbus A330-300P2F cargo aircraft to the SV fleet.
After undergoing P2F modification, the first aircraft, reg. MSN 1272, arrived at Shannon Airport (SNN) in mid-June and was painted in the SV livery. The freighter, which was previously registered as N810CM, will fly as EI-LKD for ASL Airlines Ireland.
This wet leasing agreement covers the first of two airplanes. The first A330-300P2F is anticipated to be delivered to Saudia Cargo in the Q42025 after starting service with ASL Airlines Ireland in September of that same year. In Q4, the second plane is also expected to arrive.
Comprehensive operational support, including committed crews, a maintenance program, and insurance, is included in this ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) lease arrangement.
A330-300P2F Capacity
With 26 pallets on the main deck and an additional 11 pallets (32 LD3) in the lower hold, the aircraft can transport up to 62 tonnes (115,808 pounds) of revenue payload and travel up to 6,850 kilometers (3,700 nautical miles) carrying both express parcels and larger cargo.
The return of the A330-300P2F to ASL Airlines Ireland's fleet will complement the leaser's Boeing 737 and ATR72 freighters. The aircraft will provide air cargo services on a network of more than 50 regular destinations across Europe, North America, and Asia, supported by a fleet of 40 aircraft.
