SINGAPORE — Scoot (TR), the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines (SQ), has officially inaugurated its first nonstop flight to Vienna, Austria, marking a significant expansion into Central Europe.
The maiden flight, TR710, departed Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) on June 3 and was welcomed at Vienna International Airport (VIE) with a traditional water cannon salute. The new route operates thrice weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The frequency will be progressively increased to 4 times weekly in future.
This expansion follows TR’s continued efforts to rebuild and diversify its network post-pandemic, now spanning over 65 destinations. Vienna becomes TR’s third European destination after Athens.
The route will operate four times weekly on TR's Boeing 787 Dreamliner, offering both Economy and ScootPlus cabins.
The launch aligns with the growing demand for leisure and business travel between Asia and Europe, underscoring Vienna’s status as a cultural and economic hub.
