DALLAS — International Airlines Group (IAG) announced in its Q2 report that Vueling (VY) will operate 50 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft ordered by the group in 2022.
The order includes Boeing 737-8200 and Boeing 737 MAX 10 aircraft. Deliveries are set to begin in late 2026.
Vueling Fleet
Currently, Vueling operates an all-Airbus fleet with 136 aircraft - 6 Airbus A319, 85 Airbus A320ceo, 18 Airbus A321ceo, 23 Airbus A320neo, and 4 Airbus A321neo.
New 737 MAX aircraft are planned to replace older Airbus aircraft, aiming to improve IAG’s capacity and reduce its environmental footprint.
IAG New Deliveries, Orders
The first half of 2025 has been busy for IAG on new aircraft deliveries and orders, with 13 aircraft delivered to different airlines in the group and 71 long-haul aircraft ordered.
New deliveries:
- 8 Airbus A320neo aircraft were delivered to British Airways (BA) and Aer Lingus (AI).
- 4 Airbus A321 XLR aircraft delivered to Iberia (IB) and Aer Lingus (AI)
- 1 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner delivered to British Airways (BA)
New orders:
- 6 Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, 6 Boeing 777-9 aircraft and 32 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner aircraft for British Airways (BA).
- 6 Airbus A350-900 aircraft for Iberia (IB).
- 21 Airbus A330-900neo aircraft to be deployed within Aer Lingus (AI), Iberia (IB), and LEVEL (LL).
71 aircraft ordered in 2025 are set to be delivered between 2027 and 2033, aiming to support IAG’s growth, replace older aircraft, and facilitate short-term leases.
