La Compagnie Plans All-Business Newark–Düsseldorf Flights

PARIS — La Compagnie (B0) plans to launch nonstop, all-business-class flights between Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Düsseldorf Airport (DUS) on April 21, 2027.

The French airline says it will operate up to five weekly flights during the summer season with a new Airbus A321LR. In its September 7 announcement, La Compagnie said it would be the only airline offering nonstop service between New York and Düsseldorf when the route launches.

“Düsseldorf represents a natural next chapter in La Compagnie’s development,” said Christian Vernet, the airline’s president and CEO.

Schedule and Cabin

According to the airport’s published route schedule, flights from Düsseldorf are planned to depart at 12:00 and arrive in Newark at 14:35. The eastbound service is scheduled to leave Newark at 21:00 and reach Düsseldorf at 10:20 the following day. All times are local. The airport says bookings are open.

The aircraft will have 76 lie-flat business-class seats in a 2-2 layout, with Wi-Fi, lounge access and two checked bags included, according to Düsseldorf Airport. At five flights a week, that configuration would provide 380 seats a week in each direction. The route will have no economy cabin.

German Expansion

La Compagnie is targeting North Rhine-Westphalia’s business market. The airline cites approximately 1,700 U.S. companies based in the state and identifies the United States as its most important export market outside Europe. Those commercial ties form the airline’s case for the route; its announcement does not provide a passenger-demand forecast.

Düsseldorf would join a European network that currently links Newark with Paris-Orly (ORY), Nice Côte d’Azur (NCE) and Milan Malpensa (MXP). La Compagnie launched its Newark–Milan service in 2022, extending its transatlantic network beyond France.

The German route also comes as the airline extends service on an existing route. Nice Airport announced that La Compagnie plans to operate twice weekly during winter 2026/2027, taking the Nice–Newark route beyond its traditional summer season for the first time.

La Compagnie’s September announcement links its route expansion to planned fleet additions: an A321LR in 2027, followed by an A321XLR in 2028.
