DALLAS — Yesterday, Qantas (QF) announced a new frequent flyer partnership with Hawaiian Airlines (HA).
Starting June 5, 2025, members of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program will be able to redeem their Qantas Points for reward seats on Hawaiian Airlines flights. This marks the first phase of a broader strategic alliance between the two carriers, initially announced in January 2025.
Under the partnership, Qantas Frequent Flyer members will gain access to Hawaiian Airlines’ extensive global network, covering all four central Hawaiian Islands, 15 U.S. cities, and 10 international destinations.
Following its 2024 merger with Alaska Airlines (AS), HA now operates non-stop flights from Honolulu to Sydney and Auckland, along with convenient same-day, one-stop connections to key mainland U.S. cities, including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Salt Lake City.
“We know Hawaii is one of the most sought-after destinations for our frequent flyers and the partnership with Hawaiian Airlines will be welcome news for members eyeing up their next overseas trip,” said Qantas Loyalty CEO Andrew Glance.

Growing Global Partnerships
Qantas says its new partnership with Hawaiian Airlines comes amid a surge in reward seat availability through its key airline partners, which increased by nearly one-third in 2024.
As part of the collaboration, QF has also signed a bilateral codeshare agreement with Hawaiian Airlines, supporting the U.S. carrier’s planned entry into the oneworld alliance in 2026. According to Qantas, the arrangement will “provide travellers with a more seamless network of flights across Hawaii and into mainland U.S.”
Through this codeshare, Qantas Frequent Flyer members will also be able to earn Qantas Points and Status Credits on eligible Hawaiian Airlines flights (booked with a QF flight number), covering both inter-island routes within Hawaii and mainland U.S. destinations.
This new partnership between Qantas and Hawaiian Airlines is excellent news for frequent flyers on both sides of the Pacific. Whether you're planning a beach getaway in Hawaii, a city escape in the U.S., or a trip Down Under, you'll now have more ways to earn and use your points and more flight options to choose from.
