DALLAS — SAS Scandinavian Airlines (SK) has announced its largest summer expansion for 2025, introducing 28 new routes across 17 countries and expanding its seasonal network to 278 routes with 23 million seats—a rise of 2.2 million seats from last year.
The expansion reinforces Copenhagen Airport’s (CPH) role as a global hub for seamless international travel while strengthening connectivity across Scandinavia.
In addition to enhancing its international reach, SK is investing in its domestic network in Sweden, featuring a 54% increase in flights that now include new routes to Halmstad and Kalmar, ensuring comprehensive connectivity both at home and abroad.
Henrik Winell, Vice President of Network at SAS, stated that this expansion not only broadens the network across Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East but also strengthens Copenhagen’s position as a world-class travel hub.
Additionally, SK is increasing flight frequencies on popular routes from Copenhagen—such as those to Toronto, Berlin, Florence, and Prague—providing 70% more opportunities to connect across 122 destinations.
