DALLAS — Alaska Airlines (AS) has announced the addition of five new nonstop routes to its Pacific Northwest network.
Beginning today, travelers can fly from Las Vegas to San Diego and Santa Rosa/Sonoma County and from Los Angeles to Pasco, Washington, and Reno. We are also resuming nonstop service between Portland and Atlanta.
"Travel demand remains strong, and we are excited to provide our guests with more options for their next business trip or autumn getaway," said Kirsten Amrine, vice president of revenue management and network planning at AS.
Increasing Connectivity to LA Hub
With two new flights from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), AS boasts it has the most daily flights to West Coast locations of any airline from the West Coast hub.
A popular flight between Los Angeles and Reno returns twice daily, and the carrier now provides another nonstop daily alternative to guests flying from Pasco to LA.
Both itineraries are flown with Embraer 175 jets, meaning no middle seats.
Vegas Connection, Portland-Atlanta
Las Vegas is the airline’s 39th nonstop destination from San Diego, expanding options for southern California residents and solidifying its position as the airline with the most nonstop destinations from San Diego.
Santa Rosa is also a convenient stop on the way to Mexico for Bay Area travelers, while Las Vegas residents are now a short flight away from wine country.
Alaska visitors collecting cabernet or purchasing pinots can use the airline’s Wine Flies Free program. The program allows each Mileage Plan member to check an entire case—up to 12 bottles—for free. This route is serviced only once each day. Both flights are served by an Embraer 175 jet.
Finally, AS is reopening its cross-country service between Portland and Atlanta, which will operate once daily on a Boeing 737-900.
