DALLAS — Delta Air Lines (DL) increases its presence at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) by introducing five new nonstop routes starting in Spring 2025. This expansion makes the Atlanta-based carrier the second-largest at AUS regarding daily departing flights.
The new routes include nonstop services to Memphis, Tennessee (a route Delta had previously offered) and four new destinations: Panama City, Florida; Tampa, Florida; San Francisco, California; and Indianapolis, Indiana. All routes will operate daily.
Austin City Manager T.C. Broadnax expressed enthusiasm about Delta’s growth, noting that the airline’s expansion reflects the city’s economic vitality and will enhance connectivity for residents and businesses.
Ghizlane Badawi, AUS CEO, highlighted DL’s ongoing investment in providing more travel options for Central Texas. At the same time, Joe Esposito, Delta’s Senior Vice President for Network Planning, reaffirmed Delta’s commitment to Austin with 55 peak-day departures planned for Summer 2025.
Three of the new routes—Panama City, Indianapolis, and Memphis—will be served by DL’s partner SkyWest (OO) using Embraer 175 aircraft. The routes to San Francisco and Tampa will be operated by DL's Airbus 220-300, which offers amenities like free Wi-Fi and over 1,000 hours of in-flight entertainment.
Eligible customers will also have access to the Delta Sky Club at AUS, offering 9,000 square feet of relaxation space, culinary offerings, and beverages. Tikets to all nonstop route are on sale at Delta's website.
