flyadeal to Get Its First Wide-body Aircraft from Airbus

DALLAS — Airbus and Saudia Group have disclosed an order for 10 A330-900 aircraft for its subsidiary flyadeal (F3).

The announcement advances the airline's objective of running the youngest fleet among the low-cost carriers in the Middle East and signals the subsidiary's first wide-body order. It also opens the door for new long-haul routes and an improved passenger experience.

In May 2024, the Saudia Group placed an order for 105 Airbus aircraft, including 54 A321neos for Flyadeal. At the moment, Saudia has 93 A320s and Flyadeal has 37 A320 Family aircraft.

His Excellency Engr. Ibrahim Al-Omar, Director General of the Saudia Group, Christian Scherer, CEO of Airbus Commercial Aircraft, Saleh Eid, Vice President of Fleet Management and Agreements at Saudia Group, and Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, EVP of Sales Commercial Aircraft at Airbus, were present at the signing ceremony, which took place at Airbus' facilities in Toulouse.
