DALLAS — In preparation of U.S. political conventions, United Airlines ((UA) will add 72 flights to and from Milwaukee in July and additional 118 flights to and from Chicago in August.
This means the airline has boosted its Milwaukee operations by over 75% for the Republican National Convention in July and will operate its largest schedule from Chicago O'Hare Airport (ORD) since 2019 for the Democratic National Convention in August. This includes a 40% increase in flights between ORD and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA).
Via a press release posted this week by the carrier, Patrick Quayle, United's Senior Vice President of Global Network Planning and Alliances, said, "These conventions are deeply rooted in tradition and have become a weeklong celebration of our political process."
