DALLAS — Delta Air Lines (DL) will debut its first nonstop service from Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) to Seoul-Incheon International Airport (ICN) on June 12, 2025.
The carrier will operate this route, the sole nonstop flight connecting Salt Lake City to Asia, with its Airbus A350-900. This aircraft will offer the latest premium travel experiences with Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin options.
Delta travelers will also fly out of SLC's newly renovated terminal after a pre-board at the vast Delta Sky Club, assuring a seamless and enjoyable trans-Pacific flight.
"The launch of Salt Lake City to Seoul service offers customers convenient access to Delta's growing global network and ensures that virtually all U.S. demand is connected to Seoul via nonstop or one-stop service," said Joe Esposito, Delta's Senior Vice President for Network Planning.
"As Salt Lake City grows as a significant Delta hub, our robust joint venture with Korean Air enables us to provide unparalleled connectivity between the United States and Asia, using strong hubs on both sides. This ensures that clients, particularly those in the interior of the United States, have access to not only Seoul but also vital Asian destinations."
Delta's Commanding Position in Salt Lake City
The new SLC-ICN service is DL's fifth direct connection from the US to Seoul, joining Atlanta, Detroit, and Minneapolis. With this addition, DL and partner Korean Air (KE) now provide service to Seoul from 14 US gateways, giving the ICN hub the most broad reach across Asia of any other trans-Pacific joint venture.
Lee Hag-jae, President of Incheon International Airport Corporation, stated, "I am sure that Incheon Airport will continue to flourish as a worldwide hub thanks to our relationship with Delta Air Lines. Together, we want to establish the norm for airline alliances, with the goal of leading the global aviation market as a top-tier airport and airline."
Delta operates more flights at SLC than any other carrier, offering approximately 250 peak-day departures to more than 90 destinations globally, including nonstop service to Amsterdam, London, Paris, and Mexico City.
Additionally, DL welcomed the opening of Concourse A, which spans 900,000 square feet and includes 50 Delta gates as well as 19 new eateries and shops. By 2027, the airline plans to add more gates, ensuring that the hub remains a major domestic and international gateway.
Lastly, SLC has the 28,000-square-foot Delta Sky Club. The lounge offers magnificent mountain views from the Sky Deck as well as a 360-degree fireplace, making it a peaceful haven for clients before they depart for Seoul.
