DALLAS – On October 28, Zimbabwe’s privately owned carrier, Fastjet Zimbabwe (FN), celebrated its 10th anniversary of operations. FN obtained its air service permit in March 2015 and secured its air operator certificate in October of the same year. Since then, the airline has become a key player in Zimbabwe’s aviation landscape. It operates safe and reliable services.
Reflecting on 10 years of service, Fastjet Zimbabwe Chairman Farai Mutamangira said, “Today, we celebrate fastjet’s 10th Anniversary, a decade of hard work, dedication and connections. It has been a journey of growth, resilience and unforgettable memories.”
The airline offers both domestic and regional services. It currently operates flights to six destinations. FN’s domestic services connect Bulawayo (BUQ), Harare (HRE), and Victoria Falls (VFA). Regionally, the airline flies to Lusaka (LUN), Johannesburg (JNB,) and Kruger Mpumalanga (MQP).
FN operates services with a fleet of Embraer ERJ 145 aircraft.
A Decade Of Connectivity
The airline has made significant strides in the region, launching new routes and building its flight schedule in recent times. In July, FN introduced services between BUQ and VFA. Then, in September it launched flights to LUN.
Fastjet's Business CEO/Country Head said, “Throughout the years, our network has grown into something far beyond just a means of transportation. It has transformed into a powerful connection, uniting friends, families, businesses, destinations and dreams across Zimbabwe and beyond”.
