Hawaiian, Alaska Airlines Add 15 Nonstops from Anchorage

SEATTLE — From June 12 through mid-August, Hawaiian Airlines (HA) will operate wide-body aircraft between Anchorage (ANC) and Seattle (SEA) twice daily, adding “tens of thousands of pounds of belly cargo capacity” between the state of Alaska and a key Pacific Northwest hub in the airline’s 130-city global network.

Alaska Airlines (AS) aircraft will also fly “at least 18 nonstops between Anchorage and Seattle” every day. They will offer daily service to 14 additional destinations, including Chicago (ORD), New York (JFK), and Portland (PDX) — as well as new nonstop flights to Detroit (DTW) and Sacramento (SMF).

Hawaiian’s newest international long-haul service runs every day between Seattle and Tokyo Narita (NRT) on the carrier’s Airbus A330s. Next fall, HA will also launch nonstop flights between SEA and Incheon International Airport (ICN), with additional international markets expected to come online soon.
