Hawaiian Flight Attendants Vote to Extend Contract

DALLAS – Hawaiian Airlines (HA) Flight Attendants represented by the Association of Flight Attendants - CWA (AFA-CWA) voted to ratify a nearly three-year contract extension with an 88% agreement vote outcome.

The approved contract extension is in alignment with HA and Alaska Airlines (AS) contract plans as the combined company integrates operations and creates a joint collective bargaining agreement (JCBA).

According to the HA release, the previous contract was set to become amendable in April 2025. Negotiations for a new joint collective bargaining agreement for the more than 9,200 flight attendants collectively were initiated in March 2025 by the Joint Negotiating Committee (JNC) of AFA-CWA and representatives from the labor relations teams of both airlines.

“We’re pleased to have reached this agreement with our flight attendants,” said Lokesh Amaranayaka, vice president of airport operations and inflight at Hawaiian Airlines.

“In addition to ensuring the safety of our guests, our crews are known for the exceptional service they provide on every flight. We deeply value the role our flight attendants have in the success of our company, and this contract extension positions us well for the future of our combined airlines.
