BOSTON — JetBlue (B6) has launched its daily summer service between Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Milan's Malpensa Airport (MXP).
The MXP route makes it easier for travelers to reach Milan, one of Europe’s most celebrated cities. Known globally for fashion, design, and innovation, Milan offers iconic attractions along with easy access to Lake Como and the Italian Alps. The flight marks the airline’s first-ever service to Italy.
"Launching service to Milan marks an exciting milestone for JetBlue and our continued growth in Boston,” said Marty St. George, president JetBlue.
JetBlue's daily flights to MXP are operated with Airbus A321 aircraft. These aircraft feature the airline’s Mint® premium experience, with fully lie-flat private suites.
First Italian nonstop route for Boston
Milan becomes the newest addition to B6’s European network from BOS, following the launch of services from BOS to Madrid (MAD) and Edinburgh (EDI) last year, and Barcelona (BCN) earlier this year.
“We are pleased and proud to welcome the new direct JetBlue connection between Boston and Milano Malpensa Airport, the airport chosen by the American carrier for its debut in Italy. This flight further strengthens the intercontinental network of our airport and reinforces Milan’s role as an international gateway for Northern Italy,” said Aldo Schmid, Head of Aviation Business Development, SEA Milan Airports.
Expanded European network
With the launch of service to Milan, JetBlue now offers customers nine daily nonstop destinations from Boston to Europe during the summer season.
These complement B6's year-round services to Amsterdam (AMS), London-Heathrow (LHR), and Paris (CDG). The carrier also offers seasonal flights to Barcelona, Dublin, Edinburgh, London-Gatwick, and Madrid.
Expanded connectivity from Boston
The new route builds on JetBlue’s continued investment in Boston, coming just weeks after the airline launched new seasonal service to Barcelona, and further strengthens Boston’s role as a key connecting hub.
The service expands B6's transatlantic network from BOS and reinforces its position as New England's leading leisure airline. It also adds convenient connections for travelers using B6's broader network.
JetBlue continues to build BOS into a transatlantic gateway, offering customers throughout New England more ways to reach Europe with competitive fares and a high-quality onboard experience.
“As our first destination in Italy, Milan brings even more reach to our transatlantic network and gives customers, both in New England and across our network, the chance to experience JetBlue’s unique service across the Atlantic.” St. George said.
