DUBLIN — Macquarie AirFinance announced an order for 30 Boeing 737-8, expanding its 737 MAX portfolio to 70 aircraft. The purchase was booked earlier in July, as it was not listed on Boeing’s Orders & Deliveries website until an official announcement was made on September 2, 2025.
Macquarie AirFinance’s 70 ordered Boeing 737 MAX aircraft account for nearly one-quarter of the total order book for the MAX family.
Boeing 737 MAX Enhanced Efficiency
A large customer base and reduced operating costs are making the 737 the cornerstone of most lessors’ portfolios, accounting for 30% of all financed airplanes.
The
Boeing 737-8 can carry up to 210 passengers at a distance up to 3,500 nautical miles (6,480 km). Compared to older-generation aircraft, the Boeing 737 MAX Family offers a 20% reduction in fuel burn and carbon emissions, making it well-suited to support airline fleet modernization.

Supporting Growing Demand, Fleet Modernization
Boeing forecasts that 33,000 new single-aisle airplanes will be needed over the next 20 years to replace older models and meet growing travel demand.
