Scoot Adds Two Summer Routes, Suspends Two

DALLAS — Value Alliance member and the LCC subsidiary of Singapore Airlines (SQ), Scoot (TR), has announced that it will launch two new routes to Vienna (VIE) and Iloilo (ILO) for the Summer 2025 season. 

The airline announced yesterday that it would suspend its services to Berlin (BER) and Jinan (TNA), the German capital.

Scooting Over to Vienna

Scoot’s Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner fleet will operate flights into the Austrian capital thrice a week starting June 3, 2025. 

These flights will be operated on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. They depart from Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) as TR708 at 03:00 and touch down at VIE at 10:10 a.m.

The return flight TR709 will leave Vienna at 11:25 and return to Singapore at 04:05 the following day. TR’s 787-8 can seat up to 329 passengers in a two-class configuration.

Scoot’s CEO, Mr Leslie Thng, said he was “thrilled” to launch the only direct service between Singapore and Vienna. 

New Route to Iloilo, Route Cuts

Scoot’s inaugural flight to ILO will be on April 14, 2025. TR’s Embraer E190-E2, which can seat up to 112 passengers, will fly the route. 

Initially, the flight will operate from SIN to Iloilo twice weekly on Monday and Wednesday. After June 2025, Friday and Sunday flights will be added, increasing the frequency to four times a week. 

TR374 will depart Singapore Changi at 02:00 and land in the Philippines at 05:35. TR375, the inbound back to SIN, departs ILO at 0610 and lands at 0945. 

Scoot will suspend operations to Jinan on February 28 and flights to Berlin on March 28. According to the airline, this suspension is due to a move to “adjust its network to better match capacity and demand and optimize aircraft deployment.”
