DALLAS — The United States and Egypt have entered an agreement aimed at improving security at Cairo International Airport (CAI), the country's primary air hub.
The funding will enable the airport to purchase new security screening technology and also to provide specialized training for aviation security personnel.
Passengers travelling to and from CAI can look forward to more efficient processing as a result of improved security at CAI, enabling an enhanced experiences for travelers. According to governmental sources, the improved security infrastructure will benefit CAI and also help to improve operational efficiency at the airport.
The agreement was signed by the US ambassador to Egypt Herro Mustafa Garg and Cairo Airport Company chairman Magdy Ishaq.
