BARCELONA — Spanish low-cost carrier Volotea (V7) will launch its eighth base in Italy later this year. Ancona Airport (AOI) will in fact become V7's 22nd base in Europe. The LCC will position an Airbus A320 at AOI. The airline will offer more than 150,000 seats from AOI in 2026. This represents an increase of 12% year-on-year.
Currently, V7 operates services to six destinations from AOI. It flies to Catania (CTA), Olbia (OLB), Palermo (PMO), Paris Orly (ORY), Barcelona (BCN) and Madrid (MAD) from AOI.
The airline says its PMO service will become year-round. In addition, V7 says that new routes are also due to be announced shortly.
